Anime Zero Weapon Evolution Guide

Published · Updated

Per-weapon material requirements are not available in the cited source, so this guide focuses on the system flow and farming priorities. Use the Evolution menu for the exact requirements on your account.

What Evolution does

Evolution unlocks a weapon's ultimate ability and completes its four-skill moveset. Before evolving, a weapon has its basic attack and three skills, but the ultimate remains locked. This makes Evolution especially important for a main damage-dealer.

Each weapon has its own requirements. The Evolution menu shows the current materials alongside the required quantities, so check it before farming.

Evolution flow

  1. Open the Areas menu from the lobby.
  2. Select the Evolution area and travel to the Evolution NPC.
  3. Choose the weapon you want to evolve.
  4. Review every material and requirement in the Evolution menu.
  5. Collect the listed materials and meet any other listed requirements.
  6. Return to the Evolution NPC and select Evolve Character.

Farming materials

Evolution materials mainly come from game modes. Story Mode is a good starting point, and different acts can drop different items. Check the queue screen to identify which stage provides the required material, then replay it as needed.

Infinite Mode can also provide materials from later waves and bosses once your weapon is strong enough. Anime Zero also has a material pity system for rare drops. Codes can provide some awakening-related items, but the cited source does not provide a code and reward pair that can be verified here.

Faster progress

  • Focus on your main weapon instead of spreading materials across many weapons.
  • Scroll through the full Evolution panel so no secondary requirement is missed.
  • Use the queue screen to target the correct mode before starting a run.
  • Compare current and required inventory amounts to see exactly what remains.
  • Use higher difficulties when practical, but prioritize runs you can clear reliably.
